The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), in partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), UN Women and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding in Africa (CCCPA), will organize the 2nd Regional Workshop of its Climate, Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Network . The workshop will take place under the umbrella of the 2026 meeting of the ESCWA Subcommittee on Gender Equality and the Sustainable Development Goals on Women, Peace and Security and Climate Change in the Arab Region: Operationalizing Policy Coherence for the Gender-Climate-Conflict Nexus, on 23-24 September 2026 in Cairo, Egypt.
