At the Intersection of Climate Change and GBV Lies Women and Girls

This session will highlight CWS’ work and how Involving rural women in the management of water scarcity and energy poverty in Africa leads to positive, measurable outcomes for individuals, families, communities, and the women themselves. It will be shown that empowering women and girls, and proactively involving men in gender transformative approaches, are valid strategies for improving adaptation, mitigation and resilience programs work in this age of climate disruption, increasing inequalities/gender-based violence and a global migration crisis.

We will offer a unique approach during this conversatinoal panel to give our speakers more time to engage with one another while allowing for a more dynamic exchange of ideas. It will be followed by a Q&A for each of the speakers.
