The Haleh Esfandiari Forum presents a conversation with Ambassador Melanne Verveer, Executive Director of Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security, and Former U.S. Ambassador for Global Women’s issues. Ambassador Verveer will speak with Middle East Program Director Merissa Khurma about her extensive experience in bringing awareness to women’s rights and empowerment on the global stage, including the Women, Peace and Security Index and her leading role in various initiatives to support women in Afghanistan and across the Middle East and North African (MENA) region.
