What: A five-part webinar series providing the basics of gender-transformative best practices for conservation throughout the project cycle. Each webinar will consist of a presentation linked to one or more parts of the project cycle, time for questions and discussion, and will be followed by sharing of relevant gender resources.  Currently, the plan is that the webinars will be delivered in English, but questions can be answered in English, Spanish, French or Portuguese.

Why: Gender integration throughout the conservation project cycle is critical to WWF’s ability to engage women and men equitably in natural resource management efforts in ways that both contribute to women’s rights and sustain conservation impacts in the long term. WWF’s updated network gender policy commitments will be approved in September, so this will be a first opportunity to skill-up on how to implement them!

Who: WWF staff across the network are invited to join the live capacity strengthening sessions with gender experts from both WWF and CARE, a leading gender equality and international development NGO. The webinar series is aimed at practitioners interested in learning about key concepts related to gender transformation, their relevance to WWF’s conservation mission, and the how-to of gender integration for environmental impact. Staff with no to significant levels of experience in gender equality and social inclusion are encouraged to attend.

When: Mondays October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 8:30 to 10:30 am EDT / 2:30 to 4:30 pm CEST.

How to attend: Please register for the webinar here. If you cannot attend at the above dates/times, are more comfortable working in a language other than English or wish to make the webinar series available to other staff or implementing partners, please complete this brief survey.
