The Global Water Security Coalition is an inclusive network of individuals invested in elevating water security as a cross-cutting issue, and identifying and sharing innovative approaches to ensuring a water secure future for all.
The Global Water Security Coalition invites you join its next meeting, “Women, Water, and Resilience.” The meeting will be held under Chatham House Rule on Thursday, July 11th, from 9:30 – 11:30am in the Wilson Center’s 5th floor conference room.
The meeting will kick off with three kick-start speakers:
- Seung Lee, Save the Children
- Marisa Ensor, Georgetown University
- Kristy Kade, White Ribbon Alliance
The speakers will provide brief opening remarks on the linkages between women and water, WASH, gender, nutrition, migration, peace, and women’s health. Following the kickstart speakers, participants will participate in a roundtable discussion regarding opportunities to solve water and related development challenges in a systemic fashion, with a focus on women, water, and resilience.
If you are able to attend the July 11th meeting, please RSVP by July 8th to Amanda King (Amanda.King@wilsoncenter.org). If you are unable to join this meeting, but are still interested in participating in the coalition, please send Amanda an email with your name, title, and affiliation.
