With support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, FinMark Trust i2i launched a series of telephone surveys to track the evolution of the livelihoods impacts of COVID-19 on people across seven countries in Africa. The COVID-19 tracker is currently live in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia. The initial release of data was published on the COVID-19 Tracker in the first week of May 2020 and will be updated with subsequent releases and updates over the next 14 weeks. In this first webinar, we will look at the existing data; how it was collected, analyzed and synthesized, as well as how users can access this data and apply it in their own work. We will share the top-line insights focusing on the pandemic’s impact on women’s resilience and economic participation.
