Technology is not neutral. There is a growing gender digital divide, particularly in developing countries, that needs to be bridged for women to gain equal access to digital tools and services and other opportunities for advancement that technology presents.
This webinar addresses how to provide gender-inclusive smart city services and what are the factors or biases that need to be taken into consideration to provide equal levels of access to technology, regardless of gender.
Natalie R. Gill, from IHC Global, will share which are the risks and opportunities of using new technologies for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 5 and how we can design smart cities having women in mind.
Verena Flues from the German international development agency, GIZ, will share how a gender-based approach is key for the use case of mobility, and how technology can play a key role in facilitating this.
