Climate Change has been broadly defined by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as “any change in climate over time, whether due to natural variability or as a result of human activity” (IPCC 2014). Climate change is a real and undeniable threat to our entire civilization and it is also the biggest global health threat of the twenty-first century; it needs a shared responsibility to address it. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) shows that the world continues to experience extreme weather conditions, increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases, and rising sea levels, a situation that called for serious action by countries as they implement their obligations to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Failure to act will leave the environments even more hazardous to millions of women, children, and their families.
