Lea Börgerding (LB): Dorothy, you are a minority rights activist and environmentalist. Can you tell us a little bit more about yourself and your work?

Dorothy Nalubega (DN): I am the African Coordinator of the Global Greens Women’s Network and the Chairperson of the East African Green Women. I am also the Secretary in charge of Women, Children and Vulnerable Groups on the executive  Committee of the East African Greens Federation. Here, at home in Uganda, I am the Executive Director of Ecological Party of Uganda. But lastly, I am the founding chairperson of KKONA Women, Agriculturalists and Environmental group. Among other things, I am involved in teaching women how to use alternative energies for cooking, as well as in reforestation efforts in collaboration with schools.
