The UN Afghanistan Trust Fund is helping women-headed households in Ghazni raise livestock, offering training and tools to support their livelihoods.

The UN Afghanistan Trust Fund announced on Sunday that it is supporting groups of women livestock farmers in Ghazni province, providing essential tools, equipment, and training to improve dairy production and livelihoods. The program is being implemented in partnership with the Joint Programme (JP) and the National Reconstruction Coordination initiative.

According to the report, each group includes 20 women heads of households in Nawur district who have received comprehensive livestock support packages. The kits contain stainless steel milk containers, filters, measuring cups, and 40-liter cans to ensure better hygiene and product quality.

In addition to supplies, the initiative offers hands-on training in modern livestock management, veterinary care, and hygiene standards aimed at improving productivity and access to local markets. The program seeks to empower rural women economically despite the tightening restrictions imposed on them.
