Colombia: JEP Receives the Report 'Women: Dispossessed Bodies and Territories in Bajo Atrato'

Before the Chamber for the Recognition of Truth, Responsibility and Determination of Facts and Conduct of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) was handed over in Apartadó (Antioquia) the report 'Women: dispossessed bodies and territories in the Bajo Atrato', built by the Center for Research and Popular Education (CINEP) and the Inter-Church Commission for Justice and Peace.
This report gives an account of gender-based violence related to the right to land and to the territory, exercised against women from the municipalities of Carmen del Darién, Riosucio and Unguía, in the Bajo Atrato of Chocó.The period of time contemplated in this report is ten years, since 2011, the date on which the land restitution policy began as a central part of what is contemplated in Law 1448.
