Position Summary
ECODIT is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Gender Analysis Coordinator for the five-year USAID Gender Leadership, Equity, and Advancement for Development (LEAD) Program. The Program provides technical assistance and forward-leading programmatic support, thought leadership, and knowledge dissemination in gender integration to USAID Missions and Bureaus across sectors and focus areas. The Gender Analysis Coordinator will report to the Deputy Chief of Party/Objective 1 Lead. They will provide project management and administrative support to the successful design and implementation of gender analyses for USAID at the strategy, sector, and/or activity levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the DCOP and Gender Analysis and Technical Advisors with identifying resources and establishing timelines for conducting gender analyses;
- Identify local, regional, and international consultants to serve as leads or members of gender analysis teams, and support their approval and mobilization processes. This includes working with the DCOP and Gender Analysis and Technical Advisors to develop scopes of work (SOWs) for consultant agreements and subcontractors, and obtain all necessary supporting documentation as relevant;
- Organize travel, logistics, and meetings, for gender analysis teams in the field (overseas), in compliance with USAID and ECODIT policies and procedures;
- Develop and use trackers to monitor consultant level of effort (LOE), tasking status, invoices, approvals, and authorization requests;
- Monitor tasking budgets and expenditures and report any issues to the Home Office Project Manager (HOPM) and/or Director of Finance and Administration (DFA);
- Work with consultants to collect, review, and submit invoices and expense report documentation for approval in a timely manner;
- Ensure all documentation related to gender analyses (including literature reviews, interview notes, and reports) are properly filed and that data is safely stored;
- Lead the hiring of vetted vendors and the procurement of goods and services as they relate to gender analyses (i.e., interpretation and translation, transportation);
- Provide technical, administrative, and other support to staff, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the course of gender analyses to ensure compliance with USAID and ECODIT requirements. This includes delivering training on such topics as invoicing, preparing expense reports, and providing guidance on travel requirements;
- Perform other tasks, as needed, to ensure the success of the Gender LEAD Program.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, gender, international development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred;
- At least three years of experience in project management for donor-funded projects, in an international development setting;
- Proven experience working on USAID-funded projects, and adhering to USG policies, procedures, regulations and reporting requirements, and business practices
- Proven experience successfully supporting USG contracts, and adhering to USG policies, procedures, regulations and reporting requirements, and business practices;
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in procurement and other management support functions;
- Ability to organize, manage, prioritize, and follow through on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment;
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SharePoint;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Experience working in developing countries; and
- Excellent English written and verbal communications skills
Additional/Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of USAID’s 2023 Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (GEWE) Policy and ADS 205.
- Fluency in a relevant foreign language (i.e., Spanish, French, Arabic).
- At least one year of experience working on USAID-funded projects with a gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) focus.
