In South Sudan, the climate crisis worsens an already critical humanitarian and security situation. Extreme weather, locust infestations, and droughts jeopardize food security, livelihoods, and drive displacement and conflict, disproportionately impacting women. To address these issues, the UN mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) held a workshop on gender and climate security, aiming to strengthen collaboration and create strategies for peace and sustainable development.
