In times of the Covid-19 outbreak, social isolation is illuminating the gender gap perhaps like never before. Just count how many online “manels’’ (a panel made up only of men) you have attended or been invited to during the quarantine? We suppose a lot.And how many women have you seen on TV as the main spokespersons (as heads of states, ministers of health or chief scientists) managing this unprecedented crisis? We suppose very few.That visible disequilibrium is just the tip of the iceberg of a much more disturbing problem affecting our individual lives and how intractable crises, like climate change and the pandemic, will get to be solved — or not.
