Call for Abstracts for the Second International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding (DEADLINE EXTENDED)

The Environmental Peacebuilding Association and partners have extended the deadline for submitting proposals for presentations, panels, roundtables, and posters at the Second International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding.  Practitioners, researchers, activists, students, journalists, and others are all encouraged to contribute.  The deadline for priority consideration is April 30, 2021 at 11:59 pm EDT.

This event is being convened by the Environmental Peacebuilding Association; the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform; the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP), Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies; the Geneva Water Hub, University of Geneva; and the United Nations Environment Programme. It will take place in a hybrid format in Geneva, Switzerland, from February 2-4, 2022.

The conference features five themes. A description of each theme can be found in the Call for Abstracts. Please note that proposals are not limited to these themes; abstracts on other topics related to environment, conflict, and peace are also welcome.

  • Business and Markets
  • Rights and Justice
  • Climate Change
  • [Open: We welcome proposals related to other aspects of the environment, conflict, and peace.]

We strongly encourage proposals by young scholars and practitioners as well as by scholars and practitioners from developing countries.  For further information about how and what to submit, please visit the Call for Abstracts. Decisions regarding submissions will be sent out by the end of May.
